19875 9/18, 9/25/26 RESOLUTION NO. 2026-032 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PAYSON, ARIZONA, DECLARING CERTAIN DOCUMENTS TO BE PUBLIC RECORDS TO SERVE AS THE TOWN'S BUILDING REGULATIONS AND FIRE CODE; AND DIRECTING THE TOWN CLERK TO MAINTAIN COPIES THEREOF AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 9-801 and 9-802, the Town Council of the Town of Payson may consider an Ordinance adopting by reference certain documents relating to the Town's Building Regulations and Fire Code; and, WHEREAS, before considering such an Ordinance, the Town Council desires to declare certain documents identified in this Resolution to be public records and direct the Town Clerk to maintain copies of those documents on file and make them available for public inspection as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PAYSON, ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Declaration of Public Records. The following documents are hereby declared to be public records for purposes of adoption by reference by ordinance: A. The Town of Payson Building and Fire Codes, proposed to be incorporated into Chapter 150 of the Payson Town Code, consisting of the following documents identified below and the referenced standards and local amendments identified in Exhibit A to this Resolution: 1. 2024 International Building Code (IBC). 2. 2024 International Residential Code (IRC). 3. 2024 International Mechanical Code (IMC). 4. 2024 International Plumbing Code (IPC) 5. 2024 International Fuel Code (IFC). 6. 2024 International Existing Building Code (IEBC). 7. 2024 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC). 8. 2024 International Swimming Pool & Spa Code (ISPSC). 9. 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC). 10. 2024 International Fire Code (IFC). 11. Associated Referenced Standards and Local Amendments (Exhibit A to this Resolution) Section 2. Maintenance of Public Records. The Town Clerk is directed to file and maintain the public records identified in Section 1 of this Resolution in the office of the Town Clerk in the number and form required by A.R.S. § 9-802, including either at least three paper copies or one paper copy and one electronic copy maintained in compliance with applicable law, and to keep such public records available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Payson Town Clerk's Office, located at 303 North Beeline Highway, Payson, Arizona 85541. Section 3. Authorization. The Mayor, Town Manager, Town Clerk and Town Attorney, and other appropriate Town officers and staff are authorized to take all actions as are necessary and appropriate to carry out the purposes of this Resolution.
