The purpose of the public hearing is as follows: Pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-842, soliciting comments from interested parties in reference to the Town of Paysons proposed reauthorization of occupational licensing requirements for the regulation of mobile merchants, peddlers, solicitors, canvassers and second-hand dealers to protect the health, safety or welfare of the public. An occupational license is a legally required credential to practice in a particular profession. An occupational license may be a rule, regulation, fee or tax that a city or town imposes on an individual to use an occupational title or work in an occupation, trade or profession. An occupational license is not a business license, zoning or land use regulation, or any license or regulation required by federal law.
