19242 10/15, 10/22, 10/29 NOTICE OF INTENT TO GRANT FRANCHISE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Shapiro Law Firm, P.C. on behalf of Payson Water Co., Inc. and Tonto Basin Water Co., Inc. filed two separate applications with the Gila County Board of Supervisors for two separate franchises to deliver water to residents and business establishments in unincorporated areas of Gila County, State of Arizona. (The service territory for both franchises are in the unincorporated areas of Gila County. A map and legal description of the service areas are on file with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.) NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors intends to grant such franchises and to impose on Payson Water Co., Inc. and Tonto Basin Water Co., Inc., respectively, all restrictions and limitations, and grant such privileges as are now existing and pertinent to said franchises. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors shall hold a meeting on the 5th of November 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Gila County Courthouse, Board of Supervisors' Hearing Room, 1400 E. Ash Street, Globe, Arizona, at which time said matters will be taken up for consideration and the granting of said franchises will be finalized. All interested parties and the public are invited to attend at this location or by ITV (interactive television) at the Gila County Tommie Cline Martin Complex, Board of Supervisors' Conference Room, 707 S. Colcord Road, Payson, Arizona. The meeting rooms will be open to the public at 9:00 a.m. Each franchise application will be addressed separately by the Board of Supervisors. If on or before such date more than fifty percent of the qualified electors of the County petition the Board of Supervisors to deny such privilege, it shall do so, and any privilege granted against such petition shall be void.
