19696 4/10/26 Publish for ALL projects located in floodplain/wetlands PRIOR NOTICE E-P.1 - NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROJECT TO BE LOCATED IN (OR THAT WILL IMPACT ON) A FLOODPLAIN OR WETLANDS Date of Publication: April 10, 2026 The Town of Star Valley is proposing to conduct a water infrastructure improvements project to be funded with approximately $156,800 in FY2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds received through the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH). The Town of Star Valley has determined that this proposed project that lies in a floodplain/wetlands and thus is publishing this notice in compliance with Executive Orders 11988 or 11990 and the Floodplain Management Wetlands Protection Guidelines adopted by the Water Resources Council. This proposed project is located at Orion Drive and Mars Lane in the Town of Star Valley, will consist of replacement of town water lines, and will involve 1 acres of floodplain. The Central Arizona Governments (CAG) has additional information available on this project, which can be reviewed by contacting Angela Gotto, agotto@cagaz.org, 2540 W. Apache Trail, Suite 108, Apache Junction, AZ 85120 which is handicapped accessible or persons with special accessibility needs may contact CAG at (480) 474-9300. Interested persons can also call Angela Gotto at (480) 474-9300 for additional information about this proposed project. The Town of Star Valley is now considering potential alternative sites, potential flood impact on the proposed project, and potential mitigation to minimize flood hazard or wetlands impact. Written comments on this proposed project are invited and should be submitted by April 24, 2026, to Angela Gotto via email, agotto@cagaz.org, or mailed to Angela Gotto at 2540 W. Apache Trail Suite 108, Apache Junction, AZ 85120. All such comments will be taken into account by the Town of Star Valley prior to its decision on the proposed project.
