19465 6/24, 7/1/25 PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF PAYSON – GENERAL ELECTION NOVEMBER 4, 2025 November 4, 2025 is the date set for the Town of Payson General Election for the following purposes: 1. General Obligation (“GO”) Bond Election. This will be a ballot-by-mail election. A ballot box for drop-off will be available on November 4, 2025, at 707 S Colcord Rd. Payson, AZ 85541. A ballot replacement site will be established at 707 S Colcord Rd. Payson, AZ 85541 beginning on November 4, 2025. There will be no polling places. DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO VOTE: If you are not already registered to vote, you may do so prior to midnight on October 6, 2025. If you will not be in Payson during the time the ballots are mailed, contact the Gila County Recorder’s Office at 1-800-291-4452 or 928-474-7139 to have your ballot mailed to a different location. ARGUMENTS: Arguments for and against the bond must be filed in the Town Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m. on August 6, 2025. One hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) shall be deposited with the Town Clerk to offset a portion of the proportionate cost of paper and printing the argument. Each argument filed shall not exceed 300 words and, in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) § 19- 124(A) and § 35-454(A)(1)(n), shall contain the sworn statement of each person submitting it. If the argument is submitted by an organization, it shall contain the sworn statement of two executive officers of the organization. If the argument is submitted by a political committee, it shall contain the sworn statement of the committee’s chairman or treasurer. If the argument is submitted by an individual and not on behalf of an organization, a political committee or any other group, the person shall submit the argument with a sworn, notarized statement. Each argument filed shall also be submitted in electronic format to the Town Clerk’s Office at clerk@paysonaz.gov . The names of persons and entities submitting written arguments shall be included in the informational pamphlet. The person or persons signing the argument shall identify themselves by giving their residence address and telephone number, which shall not appear in the informational pamphlet, except that the person’s city or town and state of residence shall appear in the informational pamphlet. Any argument that is submitted that does not comply with the above requirements may not be included in the informational pamphlet pursuant to A.R.S. § 35-454(A)(1)(n). A partir del 4 de noviembre de 2025, se establecerá un centro de reposición de papeletas en 707 S Colcord Rd., Payson, AZ 85541. No habrá centros de votación. FECHA LÍMITE PARA REGISTRARSE PARA VOTAR: Si aún no está registrado para votar, puede hacerlo antes de las medianoche el 6 de octubre de 2025 Si no estará en Payson durante el tiempo que se envían las boletas por correo, comuníquese con la Oficina del Registrador del Condado de Gila al 1-800-291-4452 o al 928-474-7139 para que le envíen su boleta a una ubicación diferente. Si el argumento lo presenta una organización, deberá contener la declaración jurada de dos directivos de la organización. Si lo presenta un comité político, deberá contener la declaración jurada del presidente o tesorero del comité. Si el argumento lo presenta una persona y no en nombre de una organización, un comité político ni ningún otro grupo, deberá presentarlo mediante una declaración jurada ante notario. Cada argumento presentado también deberá enviarse en formato electrónico a la Secretaría Municipal, a la dirección clerk@paysonaz.gov . Los nombres de las personas y entidades que presenten argumentos escritos deberán incluirse en el folleto informativo. La persona o personas que firmen el argumento deberán identificarse indicando su domicilio y número de teléfono, los cuales no deberán aparecer en el folleto informativo, excepto la ciudad o pueblo y el estado de residencia, que sí deberán aparecer en el folleto informativo. Cualquier argumento presentado que no cumpla con los requisitos anteriores no podrá incluirse en el folleto informativo, de conformidad con el A.R.S. § 35-454(A)(1)(n).
