19882 9/29/26 LEGAL NOTICE GILA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gila County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, beginning at 10:00 A.M. to hear citizens who may wish to comment on: MINOR COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT CASE NUMBER CPAP2608-001 BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, GRAND CANYON COUNCIL INC FKA R-C SCOUT RANCH (OWNER) AND JOSH SCHIFFERER OF REMNANT PROPERTIES (APPLICANT): An application for a minor amendment to the Gila County Comprehensive Master Plan for Assessor’s Parcel Number 303-01-002, to change the land use designation from Residential 0.1-0.4 Dwelling Units per Acre to Mixed Use. The purpose of the minor amendment is to allow the development of an outdoor hospitality resort and recreational vehicle park. The property is located at 19887 260 (MP 271.6) HWY, Payson, Arizona, and is currently zoned General Unclassified District (GU) with a land use designation of Residential 0.1-0.4 Dwelling Units per Acre. REZONE CASE NUMBER REZONP2608-001 BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, GRAND CANYON COUNCIL INC FKA R-C SCOUT RANCH (OWNER) AND JOSH SCHIFFERER OF REMNANT PROPERTIES (APPLICANT): An application to change the zoning for Assessor’s Parcel Number 303-01-002, currently zoned General Unclassified District (GU), to Residential Four District (R4) with a Trailer District Overlay (T). The purpose of the rezoning is to allow the development of an outdoor hospitality resort and recreational vehicle park. The property is located at 19887 260 (MP 271.6) HWY, Payson, Arizona, and is currently zoned General Unclassified District (GU). The public hearing will take place at the Gila County Courthouse, Board of Supervisors’ Hearing Room, 1400 E. Ash Street, Globe, Arizona. One or more of the Board members may participate in the meeting by telephone conference call or by interactive television (ITV). The meeting will be televised to the Gila County Complex, Board of Supervisors’ Conference Room, 707 S. Colcord Road, Payson, Arizona, and it will be live-streamed at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkCHWVqrI5AmJKbvYbO-k2A/live .
